This year’s show show had a a a a a a a a a whole different feel to to to to to to it it Being the promoter of this show it was difficult to to really focus on what needed to to be set in place Losing my my Mom to to to cancer recently took my my life to to to a a dark place and and I physically and and mentally couldn’t stay motivated During this difficult time in in my life I was receiving calls and registration entries from athletes near and far that were very interested in in in competing on this stage Athlete and coach Lourdes des des Giovanni and her family were also suffering from a a a a a a devastating murder of her granddaughter Leilani Beaucham It was evident that there is is much despair in this world and people are suffering We partnered up and decided to face the loss and embrace those around us that are keeping us going 30 NGA NATURALmag
I honored my mother by dedicating the the the the show to her her her and giving her her her flowers at at the the the the beginning of the the the the show (received from my daughter Anna Saez) We also honored Leilani with a a a a a a a a a a a a a a special mixed pair’s tribute performance by NGA PRO Bikini Alona Zaharkina and and and Figure Grandmaster competitor and and and coach Lourdes Giovaninni I felt it it was important to to acknowledge the sadness and complicated world we are living in in in now now It was the the perseverance of the the athletes who moti- vated me to keep keep living and and and keep keep doing things I’m passionate about and and and that is is health and and and fitness Staying on on on track during uncertain times is is is a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a difficult journey for anyone The athletes that that graced my stage this year did just that!
