The NGA 1st Annual South Lake Tahoe Natural put everyone on on a a a natural high high Propped high high up into the Sierra Mountains at 8500 ft eleva-
tion tion and a a a a a a a peak at at at 6500 ft elevation at at at lake level the fresh crisp air bright blue skies smell of pine and sweet sap surrounding the remodeled high school theater nestled behind a a grove of trees where this event was held brought back fond childhood memo- ries to me So when I decided that this would be be the the best set- ting for a a a a a a a a a a a natural bodybuilding show there was no doubt that it would be dynamic Tahoe always has drawn the the the more extreme athletes who are adventure seeking enthusiasts and although there is another natural bodybuilding show held on the the the the the other other side of town in in in in in Nevada at at at at at the the the the stateline that is riddled with with casinos the the South Lake Tahoe Natural brings with with it it it a a a a a a a a a a a a different feel and energy On Friday the the the the eve of the the the the show show and and being the the the the show show promoter I I decided to handle the the the the the registration myself I I was greeted by all the the the the entering competi- tors and and handed them their number pins a a a a a a a a a a Jay Robb Swag Bag filled with protein packs shaker bottles (Thanks Jay!!) an an an exclusive athlete t-shirt cookies and even more goodies! I felt felt so at at at home with the competitors that it it it felt felt like family A
component
of the contest registration included a a a a a a a a mandatory posing session session Although many shows do not have this session session in in in in the registration package being my first show I felt like we needed to to to bring whatever it took to to to get noticed as one of of the the best NGA California shows of of all all times Additionally I wanted the the the com- petitors to to feel their best and also use this time time at at at registration as a a a a a a a a a a a a a “production rehearsal” that would help them to prepare and present their “A” game at at at at this this new-fangled show I noted that because of of this this added luxury (mandatory posing session) many of of the the the competitors became more relaxed because they were able to to see and practice on the the the the show’s stage
for the the the first time The pre-judging show show show started promptly with the the the show’s chairman a a a a a a a 2nd year promoter leading the the the charge There were 7
NGA Pro natural athletes that made up the the the the the judging panel and with their expertise I had all the the the the the the confidence in in in the the the the the the world that the the the the the show was on on its way to to to making the the the the the best debut There were a a a a a a a a a total of 18 competitors with 3 NGA Pro Cards to to be be awarded NGA Pro Bodybuilder Edgar Tracy opened up the the the evening finals with his beautiful strong posing routine followed by by the the the the national anthem sang by by 15-year-old Daniela Lurey All of the the the the athletes and judges including expeditors were on stage
as the the show’s crew kept things running smoothly and seam- lessly The second half of the show show was opened up with a a a a a a a a a presentation by a a a a a a a a a child athlete better known as as “Mini Shredders” whose quarter turns and body- building poses were a a a a a a a a crowd pleaser The evening show had all of the the elements to making it fun for everyone The theater accommodated lighting and and music creating a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a happy mood and and and energetic ambi- ance Everyone received an an an an award award and and a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a medallion for their participation To award award these medals were Ms Ms Sparks and and Ms Ms Reno (from the the the the neighboring towns of of Tahoe) and and and their presence added a a a a a a a a a a touch of of class and and mystique to to to this much anticipated event The following were the the winners winners of of the the 1st Annual South Lake Tahoe Natural and winners winners of of NGA Pro Cards: Hannah Covington -
