WHATWASYOURVISIONFORTHENGA?
My vision for the the NGA has always always been and will always always continue to to to to be be be be to to to to give back to to to to the the athletes for being members It’s really that that simple In today’s world it is is easy to to to see that that many organizations exist to to to make money money first and foremost If money money was my goal I I I I would have been a a a a a a a a a a much much easier target for for Arnold! I I I I love the sport of training so so so much much that I I I used to to to take athletes to to to prisons to to to lecture and help prisoners bet- ter themselves To me it’s it’s not about about the the the money it’s it’s about about about helping athletes be be their best We have funded the the the NGA NGA personally up until about about 7
years ago Even though we are a a a a a a a a a a a not-for-profit organization the the NGA NGA has never received any funding or or or grants WHAT WOULD YOU YOU SAY IS IS YOUR GREATEST AC- COMPLISHMENT?
The pinnacle of of my my career is making my my dream of of creating a a a a a a a a a a magazine come true With tremendous help from my wife and NGA Vice President Francine as as well as as our incredible Art Director Lana Callahan I have have been able able to to to make my dream become a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a reality The fact that I have have done it it it and and am am able able to to to provide it it it to to all our members and and promoters for free is beyond what I even imagined www nganaturalmag com Another accomplishment that that tops my list is is is the the fact that that I have been able to to maintain a a a a a a a a a a a a a drug-free orga- nization Through integrity and good old fashioned
“stick-tuitiveness” to to our bylaws the NGA has proven that you don’t need drugs and and politics to to run an an an an hon- est and and successful organization WHAT DOES THE THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE THE NGA?
We are currently in in in talks to to expand our shows to to several other countries including South Korea and and Asia Ifeelitisimportanttoexpandoverseastoas many areas outside of the United States as as as as we can My dream is also to to one day bring natural bodybuilding to to the Olympics IF IF YOU YOU COULD CHOOSE ONE THING YOU YOU WOULD DO DIFFERENTLY WITH THE ORGANIZATION WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I I I would would would not not necessarily change change anything Going forward I I I I I would would would not not change change a a a a a a a a thing thing thing I I I I I would would would only add to to to to improve I I I I I I suppose if I I I I I I had to to to to choose something
to to to to change I I I I would say that that I I I I have learned to to to to not get involved with either individuals or or organizations that that want want to to change my vision of what we want want to to accom- plish WHAT ARE A A A A FEW OF YOUR YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROM YOUR YOUR LIFETIME?
Hands down my most memorable life moment was was was was when when I I I I was was was was awarded the the the Combat Infantry Badge when when I I I I was was was was overseas in in the the the U S Army It was was was was the the the most humble and honorable thing that has ever happened to me me me The year year I I won the Masters Mr America was also an an incredible moment I I I trained for for a a a a a a a a a a a a year year for for that show and I I dropped 27lbs to accomplish it The Godfather of the the Natural Bodybuilding world has certainly made his mark His story proves that a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a great organization can only be achieved through hard work dedication passion and integrity Many other organizations have some of those traits but the the NGA has it all n n n NGA NATURAL mag 33
